Today Pipe Moretti is famous all over the world.
Each pipe is meticulously modeled by hand using Calabrian Burl cured for at least 10 years, Olive Wood or Irish Swamp Oak (Dead) cured for 6000-8000 years. At Pipe Moretti only premium quality materials are used to offer the best satisfaction and smoking experience to everyone. Many custom pipes are also created based on the preferences of Pipe Moretti's friends. Unlike most of the so-called "handmade" available today, a Moretti pipe is completely handcrafted by a true craftsman without elaborate machinery. For example, Marco holds the piece of briar in his hand while drilling the tobacco chamber, and the same with the bore of the stem. The process is rewarding but very challenging. An important feature that distinguishes Moretti pipes is the fact that all the colors used on all the pipes are 100% natural, no chemicals are used to color them. What does Marco do with the pieces of briar that have too many sandboxes and visible defects? He simply discards them and does not save them to make rusticated pipes. Normally such pieces would have been sandblasted or ashlared by other pipe manufacturers, but not by Pipe Moretti. Marco Biagini also produces unique straight grain pipes: a great source of pride for both the craftsman and the lucky smoker and pipe collector who owns one. Marco is very happy with his pipe construction philosophy, which is unlikely to change after years of professional and artistic satisfying pipe production history.
